Explore San Diego’s historic Gaslamp Quarter on this 2-hour walking tour, visiting key landmarks and learning their stories.
Originally called Rabbitville for its rabbit habitat, this area evolved into Old Town, then the Gaslamp Quarter, named after the street lights. The iconic sign was added in 1990.
The oldest home in the Gaslamp, built from Maine-sourced materials due to local lumber shortages. It later served as the County Hospital.
Today a hotel complex, this site was once the residence of Wyatt Earp in the 19th century.
Constructed in 1924 with a capacity of 1,500, this theatre was famed for its excellent acoustics and Broadway-style stage.
Designated a historic landmark in 1971, the park's land was sold to San Diego in 1895.
Once a blacksmith shop, boarding house, and brothel, this building became a saloon in 1895, frequented by Wyatt Earp during his time in San Diego.
